Vermiculite is a mineral, purely natural material without additional added ingredients. It does not contain chemicals, is naturally sterile and odor-neutral. Its color is yellow-brown to bronze with a pearly glossy surface. Vermiculite is an excellent thermal insulator and a perfect moisture absorbent.
Vermiculite is very porous and therefore excels in its ability to hold large amounts of water. And it is this porous surface of the individual parts that allows the rapid evaporation and drying of the external structure of each grain. Thanks to this exceptional ability, vermiculite has established itself as an ideal substrate for incubating eggs. Eggs need a moist environment, but they must not come into direct contact with water. Vermiculite remains dry at the edges and is in direct contact with the snail. The water supply inside will then provide the necessary hydratation.
We are the only ones on the Czech market to supply vermiculite in a solid plastic bucket, which can prevent possible deformation of the contents during transport. This will ensure that the best condition of this product is maintained, which maximizes its airiness and insulating properties in your terrariums.
Packed in this way, it is very practical especially in handling and dosing. The resealable bucket lid allows vermiculite to be kept clean and dry for a long time, even regardless of the environment in which you store it.
Vermiculite BREEDING is made in company GRENA, a.s. in Czech Republic, which is expands and subsequently used mainly in the production of fire and refractory products for the construction industry.
We have been supporting Prague Zoo for a long time!
On our vermiculite, reptiles in the Prague Zoo are happily basking and multiplying.
